La Costa Resort & Spa is known for providing world-renowned accommodations and service to its guests. In 2016, they saw an opportunity to improve their waitstaff functionality and improve the guest experience.

A server's office is their person. Despite this challenge, servers are left to their own devices when organizing themselves, taking an order at the table, and presenting themselves to guests.

How could La Costa's world-class restaurants help their exceedingly professional wait staff perform even better at their jobs and enhance their guest experience?

01. Eliminate check presenters, and similar ill-suited methods waiters and waitresses traditionally use to "organize" themselves.

02. Provide servers with a powerful tool to help perform better by holding and organizing everything they found challenging to carry.

03. Intergrade the new system into La Costa's mandatory uniform standard.

The Solution

Job one, finding a better mousetrap than using the sloppy, disorganized, and unprofessional check presenter as a server book.

Fortunately for La Costa, Jim Myers, their Executive Director of Food and Beverage Operations, had considerable experience with the Waiter Wallet server book during his tenure as Hilton's Senior Corporate Director of Food and Beverage.

The Waiter Wallet was brought on board and provided to every server. Now part of their uniform standard, servers were required to use the Waiter Wallet to take orders and organize their order pad, cash, credit card receipts, and countless other work necessities they must carry during their shift.

The Results

La Costa's servers didn't take long to take to the Waiter Wallet organizer. Soon servers couldn't imagine ever working without this invaluable tool.

Their servers looked much more professional, but they became remarkably more organized and functional while performing their jobs.
